New crossover model from Opel
Opel has launched a new crossover model for the booming CUV/SUV segment, which is available from this Saturday, June 3.
The Opel Crossland X is the second member of the Opel X family in the B-segment where it joins the sporty bestseller, the Mokka X. The third member, the larger Grandland X, will be launched in the compact class (C-segment) later this year.
The new Crossland X is crisp and compact on the outside, and spacious and versatile on the inside, and is predestined for urban areas.
Occupants enjoy an elevated seating position with the extra comfort of AGR-certified (Campaign for Healthier Backs) ergonomic seats plus class leading trunk space of 520 litres which increases to 1,255 litres if the rear seats are folded down completely.
The new Crossland X also comes with outstanding connectivity thanks to Opel OnStar with Wi-Fi Hotspot for up to seven devices, and further services such as hotel room booking and parking spot search. This adds to OnStar’s Emergency and Automatic crash response, eyes-free destination download, smartphone vehicle diagnostics app, and stolen vehicle alert and immobilisation.
The R 4.0 IntelliLink infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone projection and voice command as standard with 7-inch colour touchscreen; while the Navi 5.0 adds Satellite Navigation and 8-inch colour touchscreen. Compatible smartphones can be charged while in use via wireless inductive charging.
The Opel Eye front camera processes diverse data, informing the intelligent driver assistance systems such as forward collision with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, 180-degree panoramic rear view camera and driver drowsiness alert. The model also boasts the latest generation of Advanced Park Assist.
