New city Gaelic Footbal Club is up and running

THE official launch of the Fr. Griffin’s/Éire Óg Football Club at Crowe’s Bar, Bohermore, last week.
The two Galway city Gaelic Football clubs had previously
announced that they were to amalgamate and jointly enter all City and County competitions at all age levels, including juvenile and adult football.
At the official launch, Johanna Downes, chairperson of the amalgamated club, paid a special welcome to Pat Egan, Chairman of the Galway Football Board, Mairtin O Curraoin, Chairman of the West Football Board, Pat Monaghan, Galway GAA Training Co- ordinator, and Junior Minister Frank Fahey.
