NEW CHAIRPERSON OF JPC TO PROMOTE COMMUNITIES IN COUNTY

The new chairman of the County’s Joint Policing Committee says his priority will be to encourage more interaction with local communities.

Councillor Peter Roche was elected as the chairperson at a meeting of the committee this week, succeeding Councillor Mary Hoade who has been the chairperson for the past two years.

Councillor Malachy Noone was elected as vice-chair.
