Neil Delamere returns to Loughrea with new show
Comedian Neil Delamere will return to the Loughrea Hotel on Saturday, April 1, with his new show Handstand.
The Offaly funny-man, who enjoyed sold-out shows around Ireland last year, is back with his unique brand of irreverent humour, which will involve many mentions of his native county and home town of Edenderry.
Described by “a master” by The Scotsman, he is one of the top acts working in the Irish comedy scene today, well-known to audiences for his regular television appearances on RTÉ and the BBC as well as his sell-out stand-up tours.
In recent times, Delamere has made his mark on TV, in shows such as BBC’s The Blame Game as well as in the unusual history documentaries on the Vikings and St Patrick that he presented on RTÉ 2 television.
All of that and his radio show on Today FM means that he’s busy. But he loves going back to where he started, talking to strangers in rooms for money.
Neil continues to tour Ireland, regularly performing at shows at Vicar Street in Dublin and the renowned Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival. He also tours internationally, with appearances at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.
His Edinburgh shows have garnered rave reviews, including a coveted five stars from The Scotsman.
Tickets for his show in the Loughrea Hotel at 8pm are €25. There’s a Show and Dinner Package €55 per person. Call 091 880088 to book.
