Negotiations progressing for Gort to Tuam motorway

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Negotiations over the signing of a contract for the Gort to Tuam motorway are almost complete.

It had been expected that the contract for the multi-million euro project would be signed by the end of last month, but the process has been delayed.

It’s now hoped that a date for the formal awarding of the contract to Direct Route consortium will be announced before the end of this month.

Direct Route is made up of Roadbridge, John Sisk & Son, Lagan and Strabag, a large Austrian civil engineering firm.
