Nearly 70 residential properties worth €10m sold across Galway in just two weeks
Almost €10 million worth of residential properties was sold in Galway city and county in the first two weeks of November – up around 12% on the same period in 2013.
An analysis of the Government’s official Property Price Register by Tribune Property shows there were a total of 65 residential sales recorded during the 14-day period. The total value of the sales reached just under €9.9m.
During the same two-week period at the beginning of November, 2013, there were 69 sales worth a combined €8.8m – that represents a 12% year-on-year increase.
The most high-profile sale during the period was the stunning Dunloughan Lake Cottage in Ballyconneely, a stunning four-bed residence set on 0.8 of an acre with its own lake frontage and private harbour.
It is also just 200 yards from the white sandy Dunloughan beaches. With an asking price of €550,000, it eventually found a buyer at €504,000.
Also sold during the two-week period was the five-bed ‘Stone Lodge’ in Tyrone, Kilcolgan, which had an asking price of €375,000. It sold for 350,000.
