Musicians and artist team up in unique show

The Galway Music Residency, ConTempo, will team up with Galway-based artist Finbar247 for a special interactive audience experience on Wednesday next, May 10, at 7pm at the PorterShed, in Galway City’s Eyre Square.

This unique one-hour concert will mark the first in the current series of ConTempo/raneous, the Galway Music Residency’s series of cross-genre collaborations with Galway-based artists.

As the ConTempo Quartet perform, the audience will become the artists, facilitated by Finbar 247 (above). Reacting directly to the music, they will work in a simple way to create a visual representation of their collective experience. This is a fresh approach to live music performance, with the focus being on the process rather than the final result.

This participatory event will be a standing show, but some seating will be provided for those requiring it.
