Date Published: 09-Apr-2008
The Galway trial of Mervue woman Una Black, who’s charged with the murder of a man in the city 16 months ago has been adjourned for a second day.
Central Criminal Court Judge Paul Carney has asked the jury panel to return for a final time at 10.30 tomorrow morning.
Presiding Judge Paul Carney has adjourned for a second day running, the murder trial of 25 year old Una Black, of 83 Droim Chaoin, Bishop O’Donnell Road, and formerly of 23 Walter Macken Flats, Mervue.
She’s charged with the murder of 42-year old John Malone, contrary to Common Law, at Walter Macken Flats, on December 3rd 2006.
The case was due to begin today after it was adjourned for the first time yesterday.
However speaking in at a sitting of the Central Criminal Court this morning, Judge Carney said he had been made aware of a situation which would prevent the trial from going ahead today.
