MOYLOUGH MAN SELECTED FOR CONNAUGHTON’S COUNCIL SEAT

‘A renewed community spirit’ is the goal of a Moylough man who has been selected by Fine Gael to replace Paul Connaughton on the County Council.

Kevin Ryan was selected to co-opt the seat at a selection convention attended by over 400 people at Gullane’s Hotel in Ballinasloe last night. [14/3]

He beat off competition from 4 other contenders to go forward for the seat representing the Ballinasloe electoral area, following Paul Connaughton’s election to the Dáil in last month’s General election.
