MOVES AFOOT TO FIND SITE FOR NEW SCHOOL IN KINVARA

The first steps are being taken to find a site for Kinvara’s new secondary school.

The Minister for Education Mary Hanafin has directed the Office of Public Works to find a suitable site for the new co-ed post primary school in Kinvara.

Minister Hanafin promised last May to deliver the new school by 2012, when Seamount College will move into it.

RESCUE, the umbrella group set up to campaign for the retention of a second level school in Kinvara, is hopeful a suitable site will be found in the town.
