Morris returns for Connacht’s must win clash

IT’S now or never for Connacht. The finish line is in sight, and if — after all the ups and downs this season — Michael Bradley’s side can defeat the in-form Cardiff Blues at the Sportsground this evening (6:30pm), then Heineken Cup rugby could well be in their grasp.

Any hopes of catching Ulster for the automatic Heineken Cup qualification spot may have dissipated, but Connacht still have a real opportunity to catch the Newport-Gwent Dragons, who lie just five points ahead of them in the Magners League table.

So here is the scenario. Connacht need to win this evening and also secure a result against the star-studded Ospreys in their final home game on Friday, May 9.

Not an easy task, true, but it is worth noting that the May 9 fixture will be the Ospreys second game in three days. They also face the Dragons in the Magners League tie on May 6.

Prior to this, the Dragons — although having a game in hand on Connacht — face champions elect Leinster this Saturday before meeting the Ospreys in that May 6 fixture.

They then host Leinster in ……………..
