More than two thousand work place injuries in Galway
More than 2 and a half thousand reports of workplace injuries in Galway were reported to the Health and Safety Authority last year.
The statistics are recorded in the HSA’s annual report published today.
It also shows that there were 2 incidents in Galway last year where a person was killed in the workplace, this compares to 3 in 2011.
The report reveals that manual handling injuries were the most common non-fatal injuries reported, accounting for about a third of all injuries.
