MONIVEA ROAD SPEED LIMIT TO BE REVIEWED

The 60 kilometre speed limit from Carnmore Cross to the Ballintemple Road is to be reviewed.

At a meeting of Galway County Council, Councillor Jim Cuddy said it’s totally unrealistic to have such a low speed limit on a relatively safe stretch of road.

He says there have been three accidents on that road, but none have related to speed.
