MOBILE PHONE GIANT GETS REPRIEVE ON CITY EQUIPMENT

Mobile phone giant 02 can keep its equipment at the Headford road in the city for at least five more years.

Telefonica 02 Ireland has been granted permission to retain 6 antennas and a link dish at the Galway retail park.

City planners say the equipment must be removed within 5 years unless the company applies for further planning permission.
