Minister urged to review West hospitals group procedures
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Minister for Health is being urged to confirm whether he has confidence in the Chief Executive of the West/Northwest Hospitals Group.
It follows an earlier report into the audit in relation to the reconfiguration of maternity services in the area.
Former Chairperson of the Hospitals Group, Noel Daly resigned over a conflict of interest in relation to the awarding of the contract for the maternity review.
Sinn Féin Galway Senator, Trevor O’ Clochartaigh says CEO, Bill Maher, has questions to answer too.
The senator says the situation raises concerns about how the West/Northwest Hospitals Group conducts its business.
