Minister urged to finalise financing for Gort to Tuam motorway

Galway Senator Lorraine Higgins has written to the Minister asking that every effort is made to ensure the project’s delivery.

A letter of guarantee was issued by cabinet in July in a bid to engage overseas banks.

The Labour Senator says the infrastructure is vital for East Galway and would provide a much needed economic boost.

Senator Higgins hopes to meet the Minister to highlight the importance of securing the necessary funding for the project which she says would be a ‘game-changer for Galway’.
