MINISTER OPENS NEW GROUP WATER SCHEME IN NORTH GALWAY

A new water treatment plant has been officially opened in North Galway.
The Carrowclogh group water scheme outside Caherlistrane serves over a thousand households.
The Federation of Group Water schemes in cooperation with Galway county council and the Department of Environment have included it in their upgrading scheme to improve water quality.
Minister with Special Responsibility for the Environment and Energy Tony Killeen officially opened the new Carrowclogh water treatment plant today.
He told Galway Bay FM news he’s confident the quality of rural group water schemes is improving.
