MINISTER OPENS IRELANDS FIRST BUTCHERS ACADEMY IN BALLINASLOE

The Minister for Social Protection, Éamon Ó Cuív, launched Ireland’s first National Butchery Academy in Ballinasloe last night.

The project is the brainchild of well-known Ballinasloe butcher, Joe Hayes, who will train up to 50 butchers over a 6-month period.

The training will take place at his former shop premises at the Galway Road in Ballinasloe.
