MINISTER NOT FOR TURNING ON FUNDING FOR GALWAY AIRPORT

Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has made it clear that the Government will NOT be making a u-turn on funding for Galway airport.

The Minister met with management of Galway airport and a delegation of TDs from Galway West earlier this afternoon.

The group were attempting to convince the Government to support the airport in Carnmore through subvention funds of one million euro.

It’s being claimed that the airport will close without the funding, and hundreds of jobs will be lost.
