MINISTER LOBBIED FOR ATHENRY VEC HEADQUARTERS

The Minister for Education is being lobbied to set up the new merged VEC for Galway city, county and Roscommon in Athenry.

Galway Labour Senator, Lorraine Higgins, met with Minister Ruairí Quinn, following his announcement last week regarding the merger of 16 VECs across the country.

Senator Higgins says Minister Quinn was receptive to her proposal for the VEC Headquarters in Athenry.
