Minister for Agriculture to open Connemara pony festival in Clifden

Galway Bay fm newsroom – This year’s Connemara Pony Show will be officially opened today (thurs) in Clifden by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries.
Minister Simon Coveney will give a speech marking the 91st consecutive pony show since 1924.
The Connemara Pony Show is the highlight of the annual week long Pony festival and will showcase several hundred Connemara ponies to a local and international audience.
The all day event will take place at the Show Grounds in Clifden until 6.30pm today and will continue into tomorrow.
