MINISTER CONFIRMS MENLO TO GET ANTI FLOODING WORKS

Funding will be made available shortly for works to prevent flooding at Menlo, just outside the city.

Minister for the Office of Public Works, Martin Mansergh, gave the commitment while launching the report on the Clare River in Claregalway yesterday.

Galway City Council is to price the pipe-laying element of the work while the OPW will price the equipment.
