MICHEAL KITT LATEST TD TO GIVE UP TEACHING PENSION

Micheál Kitt has become the latest election candidate offering to give up his teaching pension.

The Fianna Fail candidate for Galway East, retired from his teaching post at Menlough primary school six years ago, but hasn’t taught since 1981.

This morning, Galway West election candidate Frank Fahey told Galway Bay fm news he is giving his teacher pension to charity.

Mr.Fahey retired from his teaching post in Gort community school in 2009.

He was unable to give a definite date as to when he started giving the teaching pension to charity.
