MICHAEL D BLASTS GOVERMENT OVER GALWAY A & E CRISIS

Galway West TD Michael D Higgins has slammed the Minister for Health and HSE for the business-driven model which they’ve imposed on health services in Ireland.

Deputy Higgins was speaking in the Dail on a debate which he called, on foot of the chaotic scenes at UHG on Tuesday.

The number of patients awaiting admission to the emergency department hit an all-time high with 40 patients on trolleys.
