Met Éireann issues snow/ice warning for Galway

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow snow-ice warning for Galway, with hail, sleet and snow expected to fall on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The warning will be in place for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford and Louth, with snow accumulations expected mainly on high ground, and lying snow in places below 250 metres. Icy patches are also expected.

The warning comes into effect at midnight and remains in place until Wednesday at noon.
