The 22 workers on unofficial strike over alleged unpaid wages in Menlough, East Galway are vowing to continue their protest until they get paid.

The workers, who are upgrading a private group water scheme in Menlough, are in dispute with Oliver Donlon Developments Ltd, Mullingar since last May when it imposed a 20 per cent pay cut without their agreement.

As well as this, some workers claim they haven’t been paid at all in recent weeks.

A letter from the company sent to workers last Thursday said they should receive their wages by today.

Workers did receive a payslip today but they claim there’s still no money in their bank accounts.
