MENLOUGH MAN WHO DIED IN OFFALY CRASH NAMED LOCALLY

The man who died in a car crash in Offaly overnight has been named locally as Martin Melody from Guilka near Menlough in East Galway.

The 34 year old died instantly when the car he was driving hit a cow on the main N7 Dublin to Limerick road at Clashagad just after midnight.

He was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick for a post mortem examination today.
