MEN TO STAND TRIAL OVER SERIOUS CITY ASSAULT

Two men who allegedly seriously assaulted another man in the city have been sent forward for trial.

Derek Ward of 25 Coole Park, Bohermore is accused of an assault on Mark Keane which caused him harm at 50 Gaelcarraig Park in May 2008.

Jason Ward of 74 Rian Luachra, Ballybane faces the same charge over an incident which allegedly happened at Augustine Street on the same date.
