MEN PLEAD GUILTY TO ORANMORE DRUGS HAUL

A Limerick man has pleaded guilty to having a suitcase full of cannabis with an estimated street value of €60,000 for sale or supply in Oranmore two years ago.

27 year old Anthony Hayes, of 8 Verdant Crescent, Kings Island, Limerick appeared before Galway Circuit Criminal Court where he pleaded guilty to having five kilos of cannabis for sale or supply to another at City Limits car park, Oranmore Business Park on December 6, 2010.

Judge Raymond Groarke remanded Hayes in custody with consent to bail for sentence on July 10.

Co-accused, 22 year old David Wilson, of no fixed abode, who has been in custody since his arrest in December, 2010, has already pleaded guilty to the same offence.

He will also be sentenced on July 10.
