MEN KILLED IN COUNTY COLLISIONS NAMED LOCALLY

The 2 men killed in separate traffic incidents in the county last evening have been named locally.

The cyclist killed in a collision near Ballygar has been named as Jimmy Gilmore from Balllincor Newbridge.

The 66 year old died after being struck by a car around 5.30 p.m. when he was cycling towards Ballincor from the town.

Meanwhile 51 year old pedestrian Joe Griffin from Masonbrook, Loughrea was killed in a collision near Killimor last night.
