MEMORIAL LECTURE TO HONOUR FORMER MAYOR OF GALWAY

Details of the inaugural Paddy Ryan Memorial Lecture, which will take place at NUIG next month, [sept] have been announced

Patrick Ryan was born in 1920 at 18 Shop Street, Galway and was an Alderman, Former Mayor of Galway and Honorary member of Galway Chamber

He was also involved with organisations such as the Race Committee, the Oyster Festival and the Rotary Club and is known as the man who welcomed John F Kennedy to Galway in 1963

The lecture, sponsored by APC, will be held at Áras Moyola on the 5th of September in association with Galway Chamber, NUIG and GMIT

The guest speaker at the event will be Declan Kelly, international businessman and President and CEO of Financial Dynamics in the US
