Medical Council asks UHG and Portiuncula to immediately cease ‘unsafe’ intern practice

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Medical Council has asked UHG and Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe to immediately cease what it calls the ‘unsafe’ practice of interns being made write notes on patients they haven’t even seen.
It follows a report on training standards at hospitals nationwide.
