MEATH COUNTY MANAGER TO BE NEW GALWAY CITY MANAGER
Management at Galway City Council has tabled a motion for next week’s Council meeting asking the members to approve the appointment of Brendan McGrath as the new City Manager.
The Public Appointments Service had recommended Mr. McGrath, who is currently Meath County Manager.
Prior to his role as Meath County Manager, Brendan McGrath held positions in Kildare, Roscommon, and Wexford County Councils aswell as Ballinasloe Town Council.
It’s understood Mr. McGrath has accepted the position of Galway City Manager, which has been held for the past 3 years in an acting capacity by Joe O’ Neill.
A motion is on the agenda for Monday’s council meeting to formally ratify Brendan McGrath as the new manager.
