MAYOR TO HOLD CIVIC RECEPTION FOR GALWAY PERFORMING ARTS FIGURES

City Mayor Terry O’Flaherty is to host a civic reception at City Hall at 6 this evening for Joe McCarthy and Tess Emerson.

Both are well known figures in the local music and entertainment scene in the city and are being honoured for their contribution to the performing arts.

Joe McCarthy will be celebrated for his work with Renmore Pantomine.

Speaking on Galway bay fm he said he has been blessed with the level of support from the local community

Tess Emerson is to be honoured for her work over 60 years with the Patrician Musical Society.

She says she will dedicate tonight’s honorary event to members past and present.
