MAYOR’S CAR FINDS NEW GREEN HOME IN DUBLIN

The enviromentally friendly Toyota Prius used by the outgoing Mayor of Galway Niall O’ Brolchain has been sold to Green party colleague and junior minister, Trevor Sargent, for €30,000

The car was auctioned on the popular Ebay.ie website and received a total of four bids.

Cllr. O’Brolchain says he will deliver the car in person to Mr.Sargent on Monday and that the Prius will recieve a new lease of life as an offical ministerial car.

The Ebay sale raised over €7000 for local chairtys and the money will be divided among 15 local organisations including Threshold, Aware and Console.
