MAYOR OF TUAM FEARS TOWN MAY NOT GET HOSPITAL

Mayor of Tuam, Peter Warren, has told the town council that he fears the promised hospital for the area may never materialise.

The Mayor, and other town council members, lashed Oireachtas politicians for their inaction on this issue at this month’s town board meeting.

Mayor Warren said they had no correspondence from any of the TDs for the area since meeting them about the matter last month.

Councillor Sally Ann Flanagan said it was time that the national politicians from the area were shamed as they had not done what they were supposed to do.
