MASSIVE FUNDING BOOST FOR TWO GALWAY COLLEGES

There’s a funding boost for students and staff of two Galway colleges as they’re to share almost €8m.

NUI Galway has received over €6m from the Department of Education and Science to refurbish its research facilities, while almost €1.5m has been allocated to the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology.

GMIT will use the funds for the refurbishment of their library to accomodate the Integrated Centre for Marine and Freshwater Research facility.
