MARY HARNEY SAYS NO BARGAINING WILL BE DONE WITH NOEL GREALISH

The Health Minister Mary Harney says the Government will not do a deal with Galway West TD Noel Grealish to secure his vote.

Mr Grealish today announced on Galway Bay fm that he’s withdrawing his support from the Government over proposed cuts to the HSE’s budget in the West.

But the former Progressive Democrat indicated he would be open to changing his mind – saying he’s available to discuss the matter with the Taoiseach and the Minister.

However, earlier the Taoiseach’s warned Deputy Grealish that the Government has to stick to the budgets available.

Brian Cowen says he’ll respond to the Independent TD, who’s written to him withdrawing his support from the Government.
