Killary Harbour, Ireland’s only fjord will be the backdrop for a unique concert featuring Ireland’s first lady of the blues, Mary Coughlan.

Dubbed the Blues Cruise, the concert, on Saturday May 12 will feature Mary Coughlan and her band performing on board the sightseeing catarmaran the Connemara Lady, which is operated by Killary Cruises at Leenane.

The concert forms part of a series of musical events being organised by Killary Cruises, which recently saw singer/songwriter Freddie White perform on board, and will see another talented singer/songwrite, Juliette Turner, take to the stage on Saturday June 2.

All of the concerts run from 8pm to 11pm, and the boat, which is based just outside the village of Leenane, will leave at 8pm sharp, with boarding from 7.30pm onwards. A full bar is available on board. Tickets for the Mary Coughlan concert cost €20.

For those seeking to make a real night of it, a special accommodation package is available for all the concerts, featuring tickets for the concert and B & B at Portfinn Lodge, which overlooks Killary Fjord.
