MARKED DROP IN GALWAY UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES

There’s been a marked drop in the number of people signing on in Galway since August.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office for September, reveal 1,600 fewer people are on the live register here.

It brings the total number of people signing on in Galway to 23,735.
