Maree do the double

AN HISTORIC week was completed in Dublin last Saturday when just three days after Calasanctius College, Oranmore won three All-Ireland Schools’ Cup semi-finals, the Maree Club mens’ and women’s teams — comprising of mostly the same players — won their National Cup U-18 semi-finals.

The Maree women were successful in the Oblate Hall, Inchicore while their male counterparts advanced in DCU.

The National Cup finals are fixed for Friday,January 25, with the Schools Cup finals going ahead on the following Tuesday. All finals take place in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.
