MAN TO APPEAR IN COURT OVER MANUELA MURDER

A man in his late 20’s is to be brought before Galway District Court at 10 o’clock this morning to be formally charged with the murder of Swiss schoolgirl Manuela Riedo..

Another man who was detained at Galway Garda station as part of the investigation was released without charge shortly after mid-night.

Two others – a 29 year old man and a 26 year old woman – were released without charge shortly before 10 o’clock last night, and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
