MAN TO APPEAR IN COURT IN CONNECTION WITH INVERIN MURDER

A man is to appear before a special sitting of Galway District Court later this afternoon in connection with the murder of a young woman in Inverin early yesterday [mon jul 21]

Just before midday today gardai released the man from custody and shortly afterwards re-arrested him.

He was initially arrested yesterday, after the body of a 19-year-old woman was found in the garden of a bungalow in the Cartron Leathan area in Na Minne, off the main Connemara coast road

The victim, known as Nicola, was from the Czech Republic and had been living in the area for nearly a year, caring for a person with a disability.
