MAN STILL HELD IN CONNECTION WITH GLENAMADDY MURDER

A 45 year old man is still being detained at Tuam Garda Station in connection with the death of 20 year old Frank Fahey in Glenamaddy yesterday.
Frank Fahy from O’Keefe Park in the town, died at Roscommon General Hospital at 2.30 am yesterday after a suspected stabbing in the Square, Glenamaddy an hour earlier.
Following a post mortem examination, Superintendent Marie Skehill of Tuam Garda station, who’s leading the investigation, confirmed it’s now a murder enquiry
An incident room was set up and detectives are continuing to question a 45 year old Scottish man in connection with the death.
Frank is the son of Jonjo and Mary Fahy, and he has a brother Noel and two sisters Grainne and Emer.
