MAN STILL DETAINED AFTER GARDA CHASE THROUGH CITY

A man is still being detained at Galway Garda Station this afternoon following a high-speed Garda chase through the city and Salthill early today.

At 1.30am, Gardaí in a patrol car pursued the man, who’s in his mid 30s and believed to be from the city, to question him.

He was arrested for various offences including road traffic offences and is being detained for questioning at Galway Garda Station.
