MAN REMANDED IN CUSTODY OVER TUAM DRUGS SEIZURE

A 32 year old man has been remanded in custody charged in connection with a major drugs seizure in Tuam this weekend.

Malaysian national, Lim Chun Wan, of no fixed abode, appeared before a special sitting of Galway District Court today [June 4].

It followed a search of a house in Cummer on Saturday [June 2] evening where 280 thousand euro worth of cannabis plants were discovered.

At Galway District Court, he was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on Friday [June 8th].
