Man released without charge following city death

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A man has been released without charge in connection with an incident in the city yesterday morning, after which another man died.
60-year-old Bohermore native Liam Horan suffered a suspected heart attack following an alleged assault in Crowe’s Bar on Bohermore between 2 and 3 yesterday morning ( May 26).
He was taken to University Hospital Galway where he later died.
Liam Horan is a brother of Jimmy Horan who ran as an Independent candidate in the local election for the city central district.
A 52 year old man, also from the city, presented himself at Mill Street Garda station yesterday morning and was released without charge last evening.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
