Man recovered from Corrib overnight
Galway bay fm newsroom – A man was recovered from the waters of the Corrib last evening.
Fire services and Gardaí assisted in the incident which happened near the quincentennial bridge at around 6:30pm.
Sligo rescue helicopter 118 was tasked to the scene as it was already airborne but it was not needed on arrival.
The man was transported by ambulance to UHG for treatment, and it’s understood he did not sustain serious injuries.
