MAN QUESTIONED ABOUT CITY SHOOTING IS RELEASED WITHOUT CHARGE

A man detained at Millstreet Garda Station in the city in connection with a shooting in Ballybane on Sunday, has been released without charge.

The 23 year old city man had been in custody since he was arrested on Sunday.

Gardai say their investigation into the shooting is very much alive and enquiries are ongoing this week.

A file will now go to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
