MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO TRYING TO STEAL MONEY FROM COUNTY COUNCILLOR

A jury is being sworn in for the trial of a city man charged with attempting to steal money from a county councillor.

Patrick Walsh of 117 Friars Hill, is appearing before Galway Circuit Criminal Court today.

He is pleading not guilty to attempting to steal 5 thousand euro from Councillor Michael Fahy between December 2008 and April 2009.

The trial is expected to last until Friday.
